NOKIA 6700 classic

The 6700 classic may be mostly about design, but its list of features is quite impressive. This 3.5G handset comes with HSDPA delivering a maximum speed of 10Mbps, Bluetooth and even A-GPS. This mobile doesn't have Wi-Fi, but we don't expect that to be a big problem for its target audience.

The Series40 interface will be familiar to most who have used a Nokia phone. All the standard features apply including the ability to synchronize to a computer using the Nokia PC Suite. Microsoft Outlook synchronization is also possible.

A full HTML browser comes with the 6700 classic. This worked fine, though the small 2.2-inch QVGA display means you have to scroll quite a bit if full pages are loaded. We don't expect users to enjoy doing that much, but it's a good feature to have when you need to look something up in a pinch and don't have a computer handy.

A 5-megapixel camera sits on the back of the 6700 classic. This comes with autofocus and an LED for poorly lit subjects. We found picture quality very good for a mobile phone and the LED was quite strong. Users who are picky about their phone camera should be quite pleased with the classic's shooter.

SONY ERICSSON C902i

The Sony Ericsson C902i features instant access to music, games and more through PlayNow arena, as well as Storyteller which is an application that lets users edit photos taken with its Cyber-shot 5 megapixel digital camera with bubble thoughts and slideshows. The mobile phone also features photo feeds that allow users to their own and friends’ blogs through an access via the phone’s media photo album. Released for AT&T, the Motorola Karma (QA1) features a slide-out QWERTY keypad with iTAP predictive text capabilities that allow users to stay in contact with friends and family via its array of chat possibilities through Windows Live, AOL and Yahoo. The phone also allows users to connect to social networking sites such as Facebook, to connect and update their status, comment on activities, or post photos and videos that is taken by the phone’s 2.0 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom. The phone allows users to keep track of conversations with an all-in-one view, and lets them instant message friends and read texts on the front screen while the phone is closed. The Karma also features a 2.5 inch screen with 240 x 320 pixel resolution and high-quality speakers. This allows users to watch content streamed into the phone via AT&T video multimedia streaming, and the phone is designed to be propped on its edge when viewing TV shows or movies.

The Motorola CLIQ is an Android powered mobile phone that keeps users connected to social networking sites, keep themselves and their friends updated with their status and helps them find their way around through Google Mobile Services that includes Gmail, Google Maps With Street View, Google Maps, Google Market Place, Google Search and Google Voice Search. LG ARENA KM900

The LG Arena KM900 is LG’s new flagship multimedia phone that features 3D S-Class user interface. It also features a tempered glass 3-inch touchscreen with WVGA resolution, 8 GB of internal memory, a 5-megapixel camera, aGPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, and an FM transmitter. It is a quad-band GSM device that will have 3G connectivity compatible with networks in the Europe and U.S. (AT&T only) in different variants. The Arena will be released in Europe first though no pricing has been announced yet. The 3D S-Class UI is specifically designed to be a more engaging gateway to the phone’s multimedia environment. A cube-based layout provides four customizable home screens for direct access to all features. Music, movies, pictures and more are accessible via intuitive, touch-based 3D menus. The LG Arena features audio and video technologies that will support Dolby and DivX technologies. LG Arena also features enhanced internet connectivity with HSDPA 7.2 networks, Wi-Fi, and A-GPS.
